Jefferson Wound Care Services, directed by Lewis
V. Owens, MD, a board-certified vascular surgeon with special training
in wound care, provides comprehensive wound treatment that is tailored
for the individual's needs. Mary Mullins, BSN, RN, CWOCN, Wound Care Coordinator,
says, "We focus on all aspects of wound care. Patients benefit from
having available to them specialists in vascular surgery, general surgery,
plastic surgery, podiatry, nursing, diabetes, physical therapy and nutrition.
Our goal is to provide the patient with the right balance of specialized
care that addresses a particular health needs so that the wound can heal
and not recur."
Martha
Jefferson Wound Care is now located at 510 Locust Avenue, which is just
across Locust Avenue from the Cardwell entrance of Martha Jefferson Hospital.
An appointment is necessary and may be made by calling (434) 982-8570.
Patients may refer themselves, or may be referred by their primary care
physician.
