Soak 8 (12-inch) wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before threading the food onto them.
- Place kabob ingredients out on a baking sheet for easy assembly: fresh snow pea pods, pineapple chunks, red bell pepper chunks, red onion chunks, and lean ham steak cubes (omit if having a meatless meal).
- Alternating, thread onto each skewer pea pods, pineapple chunks, pepper chunks, onions and ham. Place on broiler rack if cooking in oven (these can also be cooked on the grill). Brush with marinade. Broil for 3 minutes. Turn and baste again; broil additional 4 minutes.
- In small bowl whisk together ¼ cup rice wine vinegar, 2 tablespoons honey, 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot and 1 teaspoon minced garlic.
