To simplify matters, check at least these numbers on the Nutrition Facts label: Saturated Fat (2 grams or less/serving), Trans Fat (0 grams) and Dietary Fiber (2 grams or more/serving)
If you have high blood pressure, check the Sodium.
If you have diabetes, check the Total Carbohydrate – not sugar content.
If you have gastroparesis (delayed emptying of the stomach), select foods with the least amount of fiber.
