Martha Jefferson recently went live with a new program called LifeNet. Working in partnership with Albemarle County Fire Rescue, the technology allows EMS teams to transmit diagnostic quality electrocardiograms (EKGs) to the Emergency Department so that teams can prepare for the patient’s arrival.
The technology will allow patients to receieve treatments quicker, and likely increase their outcomes of a heart attack.
