Martha Jefferson nurses share a clear commitment to lifelong learning and continual improvement. We are proud to provide the following resources to our nursing staff to encourage professional evolution and reinforce quality nursing as one of the cornerstones upon which Martha Jefferson’s reputation is built.

  • Martha Jefferson Advancement in Profession Practice “MAPP” Clinical Ladder
    • A five-tiered clinical ladder recognizes and rewards clinical nurses for demonstration of advanced competence. Experienced nurses enter as a Clin II and may challenge the ladder in their first year.
  • Orientation with preceptorship
    • A guided orientation process on the assigned area with dedicated preceptors tailored for the individual needs of the new orientee.
  • Clinical skills lab/Computer Lab
  • Dedicated simulated practice area for teaching and validating nursing skills.
  • Continuing Education
    • Multiple opportunities exist for advancing nursing education. Education assistance/tuition reimbursement is available. On –site RN to BSN program.
