Laparoscopic Colectomy
The analysis depicted graphically illustrates Martha Jefferson General Surgeons' extensive experience in Laparoscopic Colectomies. A study of cases between October 2000 and June 2004 shows that Martha Jefferson patients who undergo laparoscopic colectomies rather than open colectomies spend less time in the hospital, have less scar tissue, and have lower hospital charges. Approximately one out of every two colectomy cases at Martha Jefferson are oncology cases.
