I graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, in 1991 with an MD degree, after obtaining a B.Sc. (human biology) at the same university. I then completed my internal medicine residency and chief residency at St. Agnes Healthcare, Baltimore, Md. My many travels took me to upstate New York where I practiced as an internist. My quest to pursue a Fellowship training in critical care medicine materialized when I got an offer to Brown University, (the Miriam Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital). I moved to Charlottesville with my wife and three kids in March 2008. We all think Charlottesville is fabulous! I enjoy playing basketball and tennis with my kids.
