Pradeep Rajagopalan joined Martha Jefferson Hospital in 2000. After earning his undergraduate and medical degrees at Duke University, he completed a radiology residency and an interventional radiology fellowship at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. Despite dividing his academic history between Durham and Chapel Hill, his loyalty will always be with his beloved Blue Devils. He makes it to Cameron Indoor for as many games as possible during basketball season. When he's not watching basketball, Pradeep is often at the gym. He also enjoys traveling, exercising and seeking out good ethnic food with his wife, Emily. They plan to ring in the New Year by welcoming their first child.

Lewis V. Owens, MD Christopher Willms, MD

Dr. Willms grew up in Texas, attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. He completed general surgery residency at University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill and cardiothoracic surgery residency at University of New Mexico Hospitals at Albuquerque. He is board certified in general and thoracic surgery. For the past nine years he has been practicing thoracic, cardiac and vascular surgery in New Bern, NC. His wife, Ann, is a board-certified radiologist who has returned to school at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, VA to pursue her Master of Divinity degree. They have twin eight-year-old girls who are starting third grade. Chris enjoys swimming, cycling, running and triathlon.

W. Christopher Winter, MD David Rowe, MD

Dr. David Rowe is a graduate of UVA, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and served on the Honor Committee. After receiving his biology degree, he spent a year in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, skiing and trout fishing before attending medical school at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Rowe remained at MCV for his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency, including a credentialing year in Surgical Pathology/Cytopathology. He completed his training with a Dermatopathology fellowship at The Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, DC. After leaving the AFIP in the spring of 2002, he joined Charlottesville Pathology Associates at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Dr. Rowe and his wife, Debbie, have a two-and-one-half-year-old daughter, Lilly, who loves to wear her Cavalier cheerleader outfit to Scott Stadium.

Lewis V. Owens, MD Lewis V. Owens, MD

Dr. Lewis V. Owens has practiced Vascular Surgery at Martha Jefferson Hospital since 2001. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and received his medical degree from the University of Colorado. He completed General and Vascular Surgery training at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Owens is board certified in General Surgery and in Vascular Surgery. His wife, Kelly, is a board certified OB/GYN and is in private practice in Charlottesville. They have four children. Being a Colorado native, Dr. Owens enjoys skiing and is acclimating to the Virginia slopes.

William Sukovich, MD John D. Hendrix, MD

Dr. Hendrix was born in Franklin, Virginia, and attended Woodberry Forest School in Orange during his high school years. He graduated magna cum laude from Davidson College in North Carolina. Dr. Hendrix received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a research fellow in the UNC Department of Dermatology, Dr. Hendrix earned the Upjohn Dermatology Research Award. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. His dermatology residency and fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic surgery were completed at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Hendrix's research work on skin cancer as a fellow was recognized by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Young Investigator Award. Dr. Hendrix was on faculty in the UVA Department of Dermatology for several years before moving to a private practice affiliated with Martha Jefferson Hospital. He has lectured nationally and authored many published articles and book chapters on dermatologic surgery and skin cancer. Dr. Hendrix has multiple interests, his favorites of which include spending time with his wife, Sylvia, and twin girls. He also enjoys playing basketball.
