Martha Jefferson Laboratory is a licensed, full-service clinical and anatomical laboratory, operated and supervised by pathologists and technical staff. Our mission is to coordinate and deliver comprehensive, high quality, cost-effective laboratory testing and consultative services to patients and physicians while maintaining a community-oriented laboratory system.
We have a strong focus on customer service and recognize that the needs of our varied customer base (patients, physicians, corporate, other hospital departments, etc.) are different and strive to maintain flexibility in service delivery.
Our quality is maintained with appropriate quality control and quality assurance programs. We have a strong commitment to the Continuous Quality Improvement process. We strive to meet and exceed The Joint Commission standards.
Martha Jefferson Hospital Laboratory participates in proficiency testing provided by the College of American Pathologist (CAP) and American Proficiency Institute (API).
