Unwanted Medications Drop Off Event

What is it?

In partnership with the Albemarle County Police Department, this event offers a free drop off collection and disposal of your unwanted medications.

When:

Where:

Martha Jefferson Outpatient Care Center

Bring your unwanted household medications to our FREE drive-through event at the Martha Jefferson Outpatient Care Center.

  • We will accept any unwanted prescription or over-the-counter medications, including pet medicines, that are expired or no longer needed in the home. All medications will be handled by the Albemarle County Police Department in a strictly confidential manner and properly destroyed.
  • No medical waste from commercial organizations will be accepted.

Please note: Medications will only be accepted on this day during posted hours.
