For the second year in a row (2012), Martha Jefferson Hospital has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With the Guidelines™-Stroke (GWTG-Stroke) Gold Awards. Bronze (2009), Silver (2010), and Gold Awards (2011).

These awards demonstrate our commitment and success in implementing excellent care for stroke patients, according to evidence-based guidelines. Specifically, it shows the GWTG-Stroke performance measures being met at 85 percent or higher for 90 consecutive days for the bronze award, 12 months for silver and 24 months for gold.
