There are a variety of treatments available to address sleep disorders. Once the disorder is evaluated and diagnosed, our Sleep Medicine physicians work with you and your primary care physician to prescribe a treatment.
These can include:
- A positive airway pressure (CPAP)
- Oral/dental appliances
- Surgical interventions
- Pharmacological intervention
- Behavioral or cognitive therapy
- Suggestions for lifestyle changes to improve overall sleep habits
When a need for at-home treatment is identified, the physician will coordinate home health services with the company of the patient’s choice and ensure that prompt prescriptions are determined. Equipment can be provided on the same day as the follow-up appointment with the sleep physician after the treatment study.
