Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
Eyelid surgery improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both. This surgery gives a rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of your eyes, making you look more rested and alert. Surgery to the upper eyelid can involve removal of excess eyelid skin, which creates folds or disturbs the natural contours of the upper eyelid and can impair vision. Upper eyelid surgery can also remove excess fatty deposits from the upper eyelid that appear as puffiness. Lower eyelid surgery can treat the bags underneath the eye as well as excess skin or fine wrinkling of the lower eyelid. Also, droopiness or laxity of the lower eyelid can be treated with eyelid surgery.
A forehead lift or browlift can be performed using one of three common procedures: an endoscopic browlift performed through small incisions, an open brow lift, or a temporal lift. The procedure cosmetically corrects sagging in the forehead skin, upper eyelids, and eyebrows. The surgery will address the deep furrows of the forehead as well as the gradual lowering of the eyebrows that comes with time.
